The little ones Auntie came and got them today, so I'm officially off child duty for a while. This morning Hogan asked me what school I went to and I said, "I'm all done with school, I'm a grown up now." And he looked at me like, ya, whatever woman. But I am a grown up right? Well sort of...

Finally!
We have been waiting for that sofa and the chair for months, months! They place my mom ordered it from kept saying, 6 weeks, well 6 more weeks, actually 2 months, oh wait no, more like FOREVER. I think we ordered these in October, am I right mom? Ya, they came today, but how cool, I love them.
In funny kid news Hogan came home yesterday and told me that he did not have his underware on because he had "accidentally farted a little and now I'm wearing white underwear." Ahhahahahha. Hogan thinks my glasses are really funny, everytime I put them on he's like, "YOU are wearing GLASSES!!!" So I put them on him yesterday, and Karsen:

As soon as I put these on Karesn she started laughing and laughing so hard, it was adorable. Well Hogan really wants to learn how to knit, so I'm off to attempt to teach!
Before I Became a Home Maker
Before I was watching the little ones I managed to get a few fun things done on Sunday. For you Sue:

I finally used one of my little compliments albums Bj got for me from CHA last year (or two years ago?). I wanted to keep track of all the projects I have been doing.

All the pages are pretty much the same. I used some of the new stash of Basic Grey Sue brought me, and the matching letter stickers, so so easy. I put all the projects in that I've done in the last six months or so. I was up again last night with the baby, so don't expect much more creativity from me soon!
Sleep Like a Baby? No Thanks
I'm watching Karsen and Hogan again, and Karsen is sick again, poor baby. She has this pathetic cough, but she's still so smiley... that is until it's the middle of the night and she starts wailing. This morning she woke me up at 2:30, coughing and crying. I picked her up, gave her some medicine, and then tried to put her back in her crib, but she just kept crying, and wanted her back patted. So I took her into my room (I'm staying in their parent's room) and she was soothed by me constantly rubbing her back. Eventually she fell asleep and started moving around like she was possessed, so I tried to put miss kicks-a-lot back in her crib at 3:30, but she would have none of that. So I just gave up and let her sleep next to me on the king bed, scooting her over through out the early morning so she would stop jabbing me. I hope she feels better soon, though 100% is unlikely since she is teething everywhere. Oh well, at least Hogan is good for some laughs:

"My dad's had a wedgie since he met my mom."
Oh. My. God. My mom and I were almost crying we were laughing so hard, like, what the heck right? Turns out Wedgie is his cat. LOL Ah kids, you just gotta love em.
Sunny Day
It was a sunny Saturday today and Bj surprised me by taking me to the tulip fields in nearby Woodburn. 
It was windy but really really pretty. All those colors! I can't wait until I have my own yard, I am going to plant it full of tulips in the fall, I mean what a great reward in the spring. And check this out:
I don't know how they were doing this will all the hella wind. It was also like a whose who of cameras, we saw some sick macro lenses, and huge digital backs, crazyness. Bj totally got me - a great surprise!
Flips and Spins
Thursday night I went to the NCAA Gymnastics Championships. It was held at Oregon State this year, and our team made it to the championships so the retired crew girlies thought we should make an appearance and cheer for Beaver pride.
Sciarrino was there too, but I think because I see Sciarrino so often that I forget to take pictures of her, which isn't good, sorry Sciarrin! There was lots of flipping and twisting, and insane body manipulation going on:
Can you see the girl flipping in the background. Crazy. Unfortunately the Beavers didn't advance to the next round, but we are very proud of them for making it to the NCAA, something we couldn't accomplish in crew during our four years.
Yesterday was pretty slow, Ribbon Jar wise, so I spent the afternoon being crafty (results to follow at a later date), which was very fun. Bj came over after work and we went to babysit hang out with my little friend Anna, whom I've watch over the years. We all went to see Ice Age: The Meltdown. There was this one part where these little animals were all copying what this bigger animal was doing. Well it was so funny, I laughed until I cried. Loved it. Then we hung out there until her mom got home, Bj is a baby-sitting newbie, and he fell asleep, but it was adorable, so I didn't wake him. Today Bj and I are headed out and about, and I'm dragging some Peaches and Cream cotton with me.... washcloths baby!!!
Airmail!
I have this fab-u-lous friend Kay, with whom I reconnected with because of this blog (it is by far the greatest reward of this blog). Ever since we re-connected about a year ago we've been emailing and sending little things back and forth. We've also become each others importer/exporter for goods from the other country. Kay lives in England and I met her at camp when we were both counselors there. Anyway so I sent Kay some ribbon and Knock Knock stuff a while back and asked her to get me this wonderful yarn that I had found a that great yarn shop in Seattle. Well yesterday the packages came, and people, I was freaking out. The packages were out of rip-stop otherwise I would have used my teeth to gnaw into it. And with good reason:
A huge mound of Colinette. Ahhhhhh. I was LITERALLY rubbing it against my face as I drove back from the post office. I couldn't help myself. I immediately wished all of it was mine, but half is actually now in my mom's stash. I also got a color card:
So are you thinking it couldn't get better than that? Well it's Kay, so of course it can! She sent me a little not with the color card, saying now that I had it I could order through her as much as I liked (ohhhh don't tempt me Kay, I will so do it!) And then tucked in all the yarn were a bunch of little packages all wrapped in purple tissue with cute little tags (did I have any self control to take a picture of this? No of course not, I ripped into them immediately). Here are the first batch of little goodies:
2 yummy soaps (which made the whole package smell wonderful), striped knee highs (be still my heart!), cool little ring of paper which i am going to have to come up with something cool for. A great shorty scarf in a wonderful yellow color (going to get a lot of use, I'm sure), and that metallic fabric. It was left over from Mid Summer Night's Dream costumes. I love it, and I'm already cooking up ideas for it. Here's where I started laughing like crazy:
Knitted coat for a chihuahua!!!! Who thinks Buddy needs one of these, LOLOLOLOL. And those tea cozies are something else I'm telling you. She also sent me a cool fifty pence coin, which has the definition of Pence on it from 1755 (Pence is my last name). I love it! I've already taken beauty shots of it so I can print one out and scrapbook it. All in all a great mail day. My mom started swatching up some of her yarns and they are gorgeous. I'm going to do some tonight. Thanks again Kay, you're the best!
