The paper said it first, a church pew, at an estate sale. I had to have it, entry way, what? what?

$65.00 later and it's mine. I so love this. This is going to be THE indoor picture taking spot at my house. It's 9 feet long, but only 16 inches wide. Paint? Maybe. I also got a lot of other big things, thank you Kathy for letting me borrow the truck!!!

Yes the craft room is yellow. It's really growing on me too. This funky dresser was $30.00, the piece on the front bottom is missing, but I'm working on a fix. The middle drawers make a sort of picture frame and I'm thinking stenciling or something.

This tall thing, Sciarrino spotted this in a front yard. Another $30.00 (I'm only saying prices because I'm guessing you're curious). Not sure what this is, like an armour, but not. Any ideas?

A bunch of other stuff. The metal bin had a handful of drills in it, and I asked if it was for sale, "this is a garage sale, every things for sale." "how much?" "Let's see it's really old (I hate it when people say this, I always think, damn, it's going to be expensive) so how about two bucks?" Sweet! The little red wheelbarrow, highchair and metal thing are Sciarrino's. We have this thing where we say, "so what are you looking for?" And Sciarrino said highchair. So even though it is adorable, she of course got first dibs. That's just good etiquette. The stool was 50 cents, and is missing the seat, the rack was like two bucks, going to use it for ribbon display. The big pot was $15.00, homemade chicken stock anyone? Oh, and the thing behind all that is this cool tall mirror I scored last week. It was made by the old man hosting the sale. I love it, and it's way better than just sticking some frame less mirror on the wall so you can see your whole outfit.

This was the chest I got last week, pictured in the ghetto living room set up. It's a cedar lane one. I've wanted one of these for a while, of course that wasn't always the case. My mom wanted to get me a hope chest for graduation but I was all, "oh stupid, who would want a chest?" So I didn't, and then I got to college and a bunch of my girlfriends had them, and I was jealous. So I asked for one, but I guess I missed my chance. I did get a really sweet steamer trunk for my birthday when I was 22 and it's sweet and coming with me to this house. I digress...

Cool strawberry baskets, also from last week.
A dollar each, love the type on these, and I love having little bits of chowder or a handful of crackers in this size of thing. I am going to have the weirdest collection of dishes I tell you:

Because then I also have lots of dainty girly things like this $4.00 glass thing. I think it's for layered deserts or dips?
A bunch of stuff for a buck, including the little wire basket. I am so getting back into sewing when I move.
I find it near impossible to say no to $1.00 chairs. Especially nice sturdy ones. I also got some child's metal chairs, a big huge wooden desk that is in piece in the garage (necessary for moving it - the things massive), a metal cot frame (only three bucks, I have tons of ideas for this), some old candy jars, this funky tin thing, a big bushel basket, and I feel like some other stuff, Sciarrino? Mom? Is that it? I loved having the truck. I didn't say this before, but last week at the mirror-cot-candy jar-strawberry basket place my mom and I had to leave some prime stuff behind because we had no way to get it home. I know I should get over it, but there was this five dollar aluminum lounger with terry cloth cushions (my mom may comment that they were ugly cushions, but still I thought they were cool)... Anyway, ya the truck rocks.
We have another huge sale to go to tomorrow (try 97 houses participating), and lots of work to do, but your eyes do not deceive you, we moved that stuff right into the new house. I still have so much freaking trim work to paint I can't believe it. And if anyone has any good links or info on how the heck to paint windows with out painting them shut, please let me know.
And if anyone else found anything good we should all drool over let us know!
