Tuesday Update... on Monday

My sweet Tutu has been so adorable lately. Funny. And learning to do lots of new things. I love her so much!

And standing up with a little help. I had Sciarrino dress her - such a cute outfit. Glad I dug out the size 6 months shirts!!!

I have a whole series of these, they might be my favorite shots yet.

Sparkle Pants was not cooperative (don't worry a little nursing soon fixed the situation).

Where's the baby...

There it is! Blogging from the iPhone, and my new glider (that's also a recliner). So glad we finally broke down and got one. Tuesday has a little cold and has been wanting to nurse/snuggle all day long. This came right in the nick of time!

Sunshiney Day

I don't think Tuesday quite knows what to do with herself in this heat (high 70s). She's developed a coping mechanism:

Okay maybe I just blew a raspberry on her tummy. It's hard to resist!

Especially when she pulls her dress up for me. I should say tunic since all dresses on Tuesday are ultra short due to her LONG torso. When she was fussy today my mom said it's because she didn't know what do with herself with out a hat on. Don't worry... I got her a sun hat :)

In other news we went to our bradley birthing class reunion. But I forgot to get permission to show all the super cute babies, so you'll just have to take my word that taking those classes makes you have a cute baby! And I've been working for days and days on this:

I still have to get the details on Ravelry, but basically this is the height of my spinning so far. A navajo 3-ply that is very fine. A fingering or sockweight yarn. Each ply was as thick as a sewing thread. What posessed me to do this, I don't know. I have no idea what I'm going to make with it, but I think I need to go spin some bulky yarn now.

Tummy Time

I've been not so great at doing tummy time with Tuesday, and was feeling pretty guilty about that. I finally found a place to do it that she seems to like, by putting her on our bed and sitting on the floor in front of her. I do it other times as well, but this definitely gives me the cutest view.

She seems to have survived the lack of tummy time. And this mama will do better now that I have it figured out!

The cuteness continues

Oh my goodness Tuesday has started this pre-talking babbling thing and it is so cute I could just die! We got a little bit on video so I'll have to see if Bj can get it online. That is a new development as of today. I am reminded that I should write this kind of thing down on the calendar a friend got us, but the thing is I never remember. It is a good thing I have the blog. I do still want to do a blub book of my four years of blogging (oops I forgot the anniversary of it this year). Anyway back to what's happening now.

Yesterday for easter we went over to my mom's where we were joined by my grandma. Check it out three generations:

Hmmm we should have got one with my mom in it, we'll have to try again. My grandma did point out to me that I have very few pictures on the blog with Tuesday and Bj. He is always working during the hours of good light. Now that it's staying lighter later I hope to change that. Tutu hung out in her favorite place at my mom's:

The main thing I had to do this weekend was all my tax stuff. Ugh. I always wait until the last minute. My accountant actually called me at home on Saturday. I was working on Quickbooks when he called and I told him so. I think he probably though, "ya right." But I did manage to drop everything off this morning. Phew. So I was finally able to take a picture of the yarn I made up for an hourglass sweater:

I already started knitting it up while Sparkle Pants was sleeping on my lap, but now I'm re-thinking my needle choice. I think the fabric I'm getting might be too dense. I also want to start something with this yumminess:

Okay so I have been working on this project for almost a year... the shame!

This is from the lot of vintage patterns I scored from a family friend. It is so darling and I had the pieces knit up, and the thing seamed even for oh, a half a year or more. But the crochet, oh crochet, how you vex me! It had crochet edging all the way around.

I finally figured out that I wasn't going to be able to get good enough at crochet in time for me to finish this to my liking to fit little Tutu. So my friend did it for me and it turned out so awesome!

Sparkly Pants wore it today and spit up all over it. My mom and I managed to mop most of it up so I could take some photos. I should have taken the photos before, but you know, a finished knit you have to wear it!

Because they make everyone so happy!

Pretending to Sit

I got one of these chairs from Michele and I've been trying to sit Tuesday in it for a while. This is the first time she came close to being able to:

That lasts for a whole 15 seconds or so before we get this:

That's when I rescue her. Hehehe it cracks me up. I think if she was a little more solid it might work better. But she's so skinny she slips around in there.

I might have pictures of a really awesome finished project tomorrow. Buttons, I'm trying to get on buttons.

Weekend Away

This last weekend we took an extra day and went on a three day adventure to visit Bj's parents. Because they live a bit away this included two 4.5 hours car rides - there and back. Of course we have to stop now to feed her, but we had to stop a couple of other times to change her diaper or just sooth her a bit. She is much better in the car now that she has learned a couple of great tricks: tracking things really well and focusing on books and toys, being able to get to her fist and suck on it, and the newest of new tricks; grabbing toys. It is so beyond cute!

This toy from Sarah continues to be a favorite. Right now we have a balloon tied to it and she is so funny with the thing.

It was an accident. She got hot (we have had a couple days of insanely nice weather), and she only has a few pairs of shorts that fit. I think the days of head to toe wool might be over (but not head to toe knits!). Ah sweet baby

The reason I haven't blogged by the way? This is the first time I've gotten any real time on the computer in days. She has been keeping me busy (in a good way). Today we walked to the park with grandma and a friend and had a picnic! It was so lovely. She pays more attention to the world now so everyday is more interesting than the last. But I still would like a little time on the computer :)
